Water Saving Tips
Water Saving Tips
Small changes can make a big impact. Below are just a few behavioral modifications you can make to help conserve water in your home. Remember, every drop counts!
  • Turn off the water when brushing your teeth or shaving.

  • Opt for showers instead of baths. A four-minute shower can use as little as 8 gallons of water, while a bath needs up to 70 gallons to fill up.

  • Never use your toilet as a wastebasket - dispose of garbage in a trash receptacle instead.

  • Repair leaks immediately. A leaky faucet can waste upwards of 20 gallons of water per day. Leaky or running toilets can waste 10 times that amount! To find out if your toilet has leaks, put a little food coloring in the tank. If, without flushing, color appears in the bowl, you have a leak that should be repaired.

  • Only run your dishwasher and laundry machine with full loads.
